The Bible makes the claim that God is not the author of evil, as does Christian doctrine; so, as the story goes, we have a 1:7-9; Rev. 21:8; etc.) These are examples of evil which God created — calamity, adversity, misfortune — all punishment as a result of moral evil 45:1 This is what the Lord says to his chosen one,. to Cyrus, whose right hand I hold. in order to subdue nations before him,. and disarm kings,. to open doors "I form light and create darkness, I make weal and create woe; I the Lord do all these things" (Isaiah 45:7). Strong words!
